AS SEEN ON TV: It’s back to school season and this DIY desk caddy is not only pretty, it’s a great addition to your child’s homework area. What better way to keep all school supplies within arms reach? This super versatile craft is easy and cheap to assemble.
Soup cans (empty, rinsed)
Fabric remnants and/or scrapbooking paper
Decorative tape and/or duct tape
Small magnets and/or glue
Cut fabric or paper to length of can so it can wrap around snuggly with a tiny bit of overlap
Secure the covering to the can with simple magnets. Or, if you want things to be more permanent use some E6000 glue to seal the seam.
Finish the top cut edge of can by folding a piece of decorative tape (or duct tape) over its edge.
Place cans on a lazy susan so they can rotate for easy access. Fill the cans will all necessary school supplies for getting homework done!
