ROASTED CUMIN SEEDS
1/3 cup cumin seeds
Heat a fry pan on medium heat. Add seeds to the pan and dry-fry for a few minutes. The seeds will darken and their aroma will be released. Remove roasted seeds from fry pan, and let cool. Pour seeds into a salt/pepper mill and store in pantry.
3 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
3 Tbsp all-natural plain yogurt
1-3 tsp liquid honey
1/4 tsp ground roasted cumin
1/4 tsp garam masala
1/3 cup sunflower or light olive oil (optional)
Mix all ingredients in a bottle/jar with tight-fitting lid. Shake well. Pour on top of salad, steamed vegetables, and even rice!
