Hardware Store Jewelry

VIDEO: Making hardware store jewelry was way more fun than I thought it would be. As you know, being frugal forces a person to also be crafty. Unfortunately, I’m far from being an arts and crafts wizard so when a DIY project is easy AND it requires little to no craft flair—I feel like I’ve hit the jackpot! This was definitely the case with these handmade accessories.

I was lucky enough to be invited to CBC’s Steven and Chris for a Frugalista segment. I decided to show viewers how to make a bunch of frugal hardware store jewelry. While prepping for the segment I was blown away by how little it cost to find interesting supplies at the store. And, since the trend for industrial (and handmade) jewelry is still going strong, the finished pieces were pretty cool.

Take a look at the items featured, and the instructions to make them, in this ARTICLE.

The Ball Chain Bracelet caught the attention of a lot of people behind-the-scenes, but I ran out of time and couldn’t talk about it on TV…so here it is!
